Chapter 589 — Breaking Through to Divine Beast Tamer

"Quack??" Yaya and the others, sensing that their home had fused with the home of a whole squad of seniors, exchanged a glance with Xiao Ji and wore expressions of wild joy.

Did this count as a roundabout promotion to Squad One??

"Chirp??" Of course, Susu did not seem to welcome Yaya and the others. At the thought of Xiao Ji and Yaya sharing its beast-taming space, its head throbbed—because Xiao Ji and Yaya's hyperactivity was known to the entire squad.

"Even though they've fused, the contract rules haven't changed. Twenty contract slots, steady as ever." Shijin sensed it again and confirmed that the two great spaces, apart from fusing into something sturdier with a better environment, seemed to have produced no drawbacks.

Not only no drawbacks—there were benefits. With the fusion of the two beast-taming spaces, Shijin discovered that the sky of the beast-taming space now possessed a full two layers of heaven, and these two layers of sky contained an immense source power of the beast-taming space. It was astonishing.

"God-tier, Second Heaven!" Shixu blurted.

He had not expected that upon breaking through, he would reach the realm of god-tier Second Heaven. The god-tier comprised ten heavens in all; breaking through two beast-taming spaces at once put him one level above a newly ascended god-tier—seemingly the benefit of the accumulated foundation of twin spaces.

At this moment, the greatest benefit the source power of these two heavens brought Shijin—apart from remaking him entirely, strengthening every attribute, and raising his vitality—was that, once the source power fused with the innate talents of his first and second beast-taming spaces, telepathy and body mastery, those two talents also began to upgrade!

Telepathy, upon advancing to the god-tier, now contained the rules of the mind. Shijin could now even use telepathy to influence the emotions and thoughts of other living beings.

Body mastery, upon advancing to the god-tier, granted Shijin an inconceivable command over his own body, giving him the ability—without the aid of his beasts—to regrow severed limbs, project his soul from his body, and create mental avatars.

What was upgraded now were the companion talents of the beast-taming spaces. Talents such as Space, Time Accumulation, and Fusion were not upgraded; Shijin still had to cultivate those himself. The same went for the mental domain derived from telepathy.

But none of this was the point.

"Holy crap." As Shishuo startled, every one of the beasts sensed Shijin's stunned emotion.

What on earth was going on...

One by one the beasts looked at Shijin expectantly. Something good had happened!!

"This is forcing me to stop being human!!!!"

Shiqi looked toward the skill compendium. Sure enough, as he broke through to the god-tier, the skill compendium had changed as well, undergoing an upgrade and gaining yet another new function!!
