Chapter 358 — This Is Just Too Vile

The Blossom Guardian

Anyone who didn't know better, passing by the door of that private room just then, would have thought they were butchering pigs inside!

Wei Zhao curled his lip. Trying to set me up, were you? You two can enjoy a taste of being set up yourselves first. Bye-bye, gentlemen.

After quietly recording the two men's wretched state on his phone for a while, Wei Zhao slipped soundlessly out of Room 418, took the elevator down, and was out of the hotel in no time at all.

Wei Zhao had barely touched the liquor — just a couple of sips of red wine — though even if he had drunk a great deal, he wouldn't have gotten drunk. So when he reached the parking lot, he got straight into his car and drove off in the direction of the villa.

Though An Liwen and Su Taizao were grandly known as two of the Four Young Masters of Songshan, if they ever learned that the man who beat them was Li Cihua, they would most likely have no choice but to swallow their grievance in silence. There was no recovering face from this.

On the way home, Shen Yushu called again. Wei Zhao picked up with a smile: "What is it? Something else?"

"Sister Yaoyao told me to check up on you again, see if you've been up to any mischief," Shen Yushu said with a giggle.

"Ha, no, nothing like that. I'm almost home," Wei Zhao said with a laugh. The young lady was cold on the outside but warm within — she really did worry about him.

"Xiaoshu, don't talk nonsense. I was only afraid the fool would make a spectacle of himself and someone would film it and send it to me — that would look bad!" Gu Mengyao gave a huff, refusing to admit what was in her heart.

"Hehe, Sister Yaoyao's angry!" Shen Yushu stuck out her tongue. "Arrow-brand Brother, did you take care of those two?"

"I did. I'll tell you both when I get back." Wei Zhao thought of An Liwen and Su Taizao and found it rather funny. Those two really were the unluckiest of men. He wondered — the power Li Cihua represented, compared with An Liwen and Su Taizao's, which was the more formidable?

Inside Room 418 on the fourth floor of the Radiant Starlight Grand Hotel, a one-sided thrashing was underway. The two bodyguards were coolly and deftly raining punches and kicks on An Liwen and Su Taizao, who had already been beaten into pig's heads.

"You dare hit me? Do you know who I am?" An Liwen shrieked at the top of his lungs, seizing the moment when one of the bodyguards switched hands to shout out.

"I don't care who you are. Since you dared come here looking for trouble today, don't expect to walk out on your own two feet!" Su Jiaonang retorted with a cold laugh, while carefully dabbing the blood from Li Cihua's face with a tissue. "Brother Cihua, are you all right? Do you need to go to the hospital?"

"I'm fine!" Li Cihua waved a hand. A wound this slight was nowhere near enough to affect him — it was just a little frightening to look at, that was all. Still, he felt deeply humiliated: a man of his stature, who moved freely through both the lawful and the underworld, actually getting his nose bloodied by someone else's punches — it was rather shameful!

"I'm An Liwen! An Liwen of the Four Young Masters of Songshan! You dare hit me?" An Liwen kept shouting while he still had the chance to speak. He was terrified that in another moment the bodyguard would slam a fist into his mouth and beat him mute.

"Hold on!" Hearing An Liwen's words, Li Cihua paused slightly, then quickly waved his hand, signaling the two bodyguards to stop for the moment. "What did you say? Who are you?"

"I'm Su Taizao, the third of the Four Young Masters of Songshan! And he's An Liwen — Brother An!" Su Taizao struggled up from the floor, his face contorted as he pointed at Li Cihua. "What do you say to that? Scared now?"

"Scared, not exactly — but there seems to be some misunderstanding here." Li Cihua rose to his feet and walked over to the man who claimed to be An Liwen. "You really are An Liwen?"

"What do you think?" An Liwen wiped the blood from his face and said darkly, "Want to see my ID?"

"No need. Since you say so, I'll believe it! Let me introduce myself — my name is Li Cihua." Li Cihua waved a hand, and the two bodyguards helped An Liwen and Su Taizao to their feet.

"I don't give a damn who you are! Cihua, Erjitijiao, Dashenpao — whatever the hell your name is, you dared hit me, so just you wait to have your house ransacked tomorrow!" Su Taizao bellowed, clawing the air wildly.

"Taizao, quiet down!" Hearing the name Li Cihua, An Liwen immediately frowned and looked up at him. Sure enough, he closely resembled the Li Cihua he had seen in the files — except that this Li Cihua's nose was now broken. "You're Brother Cihua?"

"Yes, I am Li Cihua." Li Cihua nodded. "Young Master Wen, might this be a misunderstanding? You asked to meet me at the nightclub on the fifth floor here at nine tonight — so why did you come to my private room ahead of time?"

"I... I invited a friend here for dinner... He said he'd taken a fancy to these two girls. Eh? Where is he?" An Liwen turned his head, only to find that Wei Zhao had long since vanished without a trace...

What a misunderstanding this had turned out to be — the man in the private room was none other than Li Cihua! Which meant this beating had likely been for nothing. Earlier, An Liwen had been seething inwardly, vowing that once he stepped out of this room he would summon his people and make sure no one inside got off easy! Hauling them off to have their kidneys cut out would have been too good for them!

But now he had no choice but to swallow this humiliation and choke it down.

"Inviting friends over for a meal?" Li Cihua's brow furrowed slightly. "Then who was it that threw that wine bottle in here?"

"It was that friend of mine..." An Liwen trailed off, then suddenly called out twice toward the corridor: "Wei Zhao? Wei Zhao?"

"Wei Zhao? The friend you invited is named Wei Zhao?" Li Cihua's pupils contracted sharply. "You're saying it was Wei Zhao who threw the bottle in?"

"What — Cihua, you know Wei Zhao?" From Li Cihua's tone, An Liwen gathered that he seemed to know the man.

"Know him? How could I not know him?" Li Cihua gave a cold laugh. "More than know him — he's a sworn enemy of mine! Young Master Wen, one thing's certain: that Wei Zhao played you."

At these words, An Liwen's face darkened and he sank into thought. He was no fool; piecing together the oddities from beginning to end, he arrived at a conclusion at once.

Wei Zhao had done it on purpose. He must have known Li Cihua was in this private room, and known all along that Xuexue and Huahua, that pair of top-tier girls, were here too — which was why he had deliberately requested the two of them, then used An Liwen and Su Taizao as his cat's-paws, delivering them straight to Li Cihua's door.

And in the end, a single wine bottle had been enough to set the powder keg off. While the two of them marched in like idiots to demand their people back, Wei Zhao had slipped away.

"Damn him!" An Liwen gnashed his teeth in fury. This time he truly had been played by Wei Zhao! The brat was simply too vicious. If An Liwen's guess was right, Wei Zhao had never had any real intention of calling for girls in the first place — he had merely stepped out to the restroom, caught sight of Li Cihua with Xuexue and Huahua, and on the spur of the moment cooked up this dirty little scheme.
