Chapter 2967 — There Is Still a Way

The Blossom Guardian

"Luoyue, we all know that much already, but the crux of the matter is how do we repair his meridians and dantian? Wei Zhao's dantian is shattered—there is no way for him to refine pills!" Uncle Qing smiled wryly.

"I'm not talking about pills…" Sun Luoying shook her head. "Have you forgotten our Sun family's internal-energy cultivation method?"

"You mean you?" Uncle Qing was taken aback, then asked, somewhat puzzled, "But right now, aside from healing my wounds, you cannot heal anyone else's, can you?"

"Not me…" Sun Luoying shook her head.

"You mean Jingyi?" This time Uncle Qing finally understood what Sun Luoying was driving at. He slapped his forehead and said in sudden enlightenment, "How could I have forgotten your family's exclusive internal-energy cultivation method? If Jingyi steps in, then Mr. Lin's problem can be solved as easily as splitting bamboo!"

"But to repair a dantian, the second layer of the method is required—the first layer will not do." Sun Luoying shook her head. "I am only at the first layer now, so I cannot repair a dantian either."

"Eh? Doesn't the second layer heal two people? Why would repairing a dantian also require the second layer?" Uncle Qing asked, somewhat perplexed.

"A dantian is no less intricate than a person's meridians. It is only that cultivators with shattered dantians are rare, so it was never set apart as a special case. In truth, when the second layer is said to heal two people, it means treating ordinary injuries in two people—meridians included, but not the dantian." Sun Luoying said, "Only if Jingyi pushes herself will this method be viable."

"Jingyi's cultivation method has actually already reached the second layer…" Wei Zhao spoke up at this point, putting an end to Uncle Qing and Sun Luoying's debate.

"What? She's already reached the second layer?" Uncle Qing and Sun Luoying were both startled. "Truly? How is her cultivation speed so fast?"

"Truly. But she relied on that energy stone your sect brought back," Wei Zhao said. "Uncle Qing, I even asked you about it at the time."

"So it was that energy stone!" Uncle Qing said in sudden understanding. "Wonderful. Xiaoyi, then hurry and get in touch with Jingyi. Though I am her father, we have not yet been reunited… so it would be awkward for me to bring these matters up with her."

As for Wei Zhao, though by now it was certain that Sun Jingyi could repair his meridians and dantian, he felt somewhat embarrassed. After all, this would cost Sun Jingyi two of her healing quotas at once. From then on, apart from healing him exclusively, she would be able to do little else—was that not as good as ruining her?

From now on, her future cultivation would be entirely for his sake. Wei Zhao truly felt embarrassed about it, and so he asked, "Could we repair only the dantian and not the meridians?"

Sun Luoying was slightly taken aback, but still said, "Repairing only the meridians and not the dantian is fine, but repairing only the dantian and not the meridians is not. To repair a dantian, one must go through the meridians. If your meridians were sound, then naturally you could repair the dantian alone, but as things stand, that is not possible."

"So that's how it is…" Wei Zhao was filled with helplessness, unsure whether he should call Sun Jingyi.

"Mr. Lin, you are the savior of our whole family—Jingyi too. If not for your selfless rescue in the Wulonghaote Mountains, she likely would not be alive today. She will certainly agree," Uncle Qing said, seeing Wei Zhao's hesitation and urging him on.

"That's right. Isn't Sister Jingyi half your lover? Now that your half-lover has run into trouble, she will surely help!" Though the eldest miss was somewhat disappointed at not being able to return to the Western Star Mountain Village, Wei Zhao's recovery was what she most wished to see. As for jealousy over Sun Jingyi, she no longer harbored any—after all, Sun Jingyi was Uncle Qing's daughter. No matter whom the eldest miss contended with, she would never contend with Xiaoshu or Sun Jingyi, for they were already the most important people at her side, just as Tang Zhi and Feng Xiaoxiao had been in the beginning, and Qiu Lingshan and Wang Xinyan were now.

These people who had risked their lives to help her and Wei Zhao—the eldest miss had no reason to resent them any longer.

"All right." Wei Zhao nodded, his resolve firming. With Wu Chengtian's help, he dialed Sun Jingyi's number.

The call connected, and after a short while Sun Jingyi's languid voice came through. "Wei Zhao? You're looking for me?"

"Why are you asleep at this hour?" Wei Zhao was momentarily taken aback at the sound of her voice.

"Mm. Lately, for the sake of cultivation, my days and nights have been turned upside down. You never come to see me either—you left me all alone in the hotel, and gradually I've gotten all muddled." Sun Jingyi's voice sounded somewhat aggrieved. "The trial is over, and you still don't come to find me!"

"You didn't go back to the Sun family?" Wei Zhao was rather astonished; he had not expected Sun Jingyi to still be at the hotel, never having left!

"No, I didn't. You never told me to go back," Sun Jingyi said.

"Then could you come to my villa now? I have something to discuss with you," Wei Zhao said.

"Now? To your villa? Are Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu not there?" Sun Jingyi asked, somewhat puzzled.

"They are. You'll understand when you arrive." Wei Zhao smiled wryly. In the past, Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu had not much cared for Sun Jingyi—because the first time they went to the bar, Sun Jingyi had seduced Wei Zhao right in front of Gu Mengyao and the other, which had left Sun Jingyi feeling rather ashamed. Unless something special came up, she naturally would not appear before the two of them.

"All right, I'll head over now." With that, Sun Jingyi hung up.

The Xueshang Hotel where Sun Jingyi was staying was nearby. After about ten minutes or so, her car pulled up at the villa's gate.

"Eh? Why are there so many people?!" The moment Sun Jingyi entered the villa, she discovered it was like a great assembly—many people were seated in the living room. When her gaze fell upon Sun Luoying, there was a visible flicker of brief surprise; but when she then saw Wei Zhao sitting in the wheelchair, she at once forgot her earlier astonishment and asked anxiously, "Wei Zhao, what happened to you?"

"Let Chengtian explain this matter," Wei Zhao said. He had already explained it many times over, so he let Wu Chengtian recount his problem to Sun Jingyi.

After hearing Wei Zhao's problem and his request, Sun Jingyi nodded without the slightest hesitation. "Then when shall we begin the healing?" (To be continued.)
