Chapter 3519 — The Death of Little Eleven

The Blossom Guardian

Wei Zhao ran off pretending to give chase to the Five-Shas Dragon, and at that moment the Five-Shas Dragon seemed rather afraid of him; catching sight of the dagger in his hand, it did not quite dare to come close!

Damn it, what was going on here? Hadn't the Five-Shas Dragon been chasing Wei Zhao before? How had it turned into Wei Zhao chasing the Five-Shas Dragon? Was this beast such a coward that a single stab had frightened it this badly?

But he had been suppressing it with his oppressive might for ages—how in the hell was it completely unaffected, and still bold enough to pursue him? Zhong Yongliang thought, thoroughly gloom-spirited.

Still, since Zhong Yongliang was afraid of the Five-Shas Dragon, he naturally fled toward Kang Jingming's side, where there were more people—which saved Wei Zhao the trouble of faking a chase. Kang Jingming was instantly alarmed and hastily called out to the crowd, "Make ready to fight and drive it off!"

The words had barely left his mouth when the Five-Shas Dragon abruptly sped up and charged straight at him. Fortunately for Kang Jingming, the man was a slippery sort: even as he finished saying "make ready to fight," he had already greased his heels and darted backward. So the Five-Shas Dragon seized Little Eleven, who stood right beside him!

"Ah!" Little Eleven shrieked. She had never expected the Five-Shas Dragon to come at her like that. "Kang Jingming, save me!"

In truth, even if Kang Jingming had not fled, the Five-Shas Dragon would not have grabbed him—it had taken Little Eleven on Wei Zhao's instructions. But Kang Jingming knew nothing of this. Seeing Little Eleven caught, his heart lurched with fright: thank heavens he had run fast, or he would have been the one in its clutches!

Save Little Eleven? Kang Jingming would never lift a finger for that! The pill refining he had done for her before had only been because the Five Luminaries Sect had energy stones enough to replenish his stamina and true qi, allowing him to refine pills without limit, and the materials had not cost him a single coin—a cheap favor to curry goodwill with Ancestor Xuanchen!

But for him to risk his life saving Little Eleven now? What a joke—Kang Jingming would not do it, and dared not. On the surface, though, he still bellowed, "Hey! You damned dinosaur, put that heroine down this instant!"

The Five-Shas Dragon gave Kang Jingming a cold glance. "Roar—"

Kang Jingming shrank back in terror, almost dropping to his knees.

Watching Kang Jingming's spineless display, Little Eleven felt a surge of despair. Her breathing grew rapid and ragged as she struggled and cried, "Kang Jingming, get them to save me! If I die, my father, Ancestor Xuanchen, will never let any of you off!"

"Everyone, charge! Take down the Five-Shas Dragon!" Kang Jingming roared, then turned to Zhong Yongliang. "Brother Liang, hit the Five-Shas Dragon with your oppressive might again, quick—make it let Little Eleven go!"

"My stamina and true qi are nearly spent. I can't hold the suppression for long!" Zhong Yongliang said. "Thirty seconds at most, or it'll eat into my own stamina and true qi!"

Be that as it may, Zhong Yongliang still gave Kang Jingming some face. After all, the man was the son-in-law of the Five Luminaries Sect's Ancestor Xuanchen, and Zhong Yongliang could hardly turn a blind eye.

But no sooner had Zhong Yongliang finished speaking than the Five-Shas Dragon, as though it could hear him, raised its foreclaw, swung it several circles through the air, and with a "whoosh" hurled Little Eleven toward Han Jingyi.

"Waaahhhh—" Little Eleven went flying. Truth be told, she had a high level and nothing else. Her meridians were ruined, a cripple through and through: her level had been raised, but her body could not store stamina or true qi, nor could she circulate any cultivation formula. Frankly, all she had was an endlessly extended lifespan—much like Zhang Naipao now, her level remained, but her strength did not. Her true strength was not even worth a Yellow-rank.

And so her head plunged straight into the earth without the slightest protection, half her body buried in the soil, life or death unknown...

"Waaahhhh—a monster!" Two silver needles suddenly appeared in Han Jingyi's hand, and she drove them straight into Little Eleven's legs! She had meant to stab them in between at first, but in the end she could not bring herself to do it.

She was not a cruel person. Little Eleven had been utterly merciless to her once, but for Han Jingyi to sink to Little Eleven's level was impossible. Han Jingyi set two elixir flames blazing on the silver needles, and Little Eleven's legs began to tremble at once!

Clearly she was not dead—she was still alive. The searing heat of the elixir flames traveled down the needles into the meridians in her feet, and since her meridians were severed, the heat spread unchecked through her body, causing her unbearable agony.

"What are you doing!" Kang Jingming was furious now, and Zhong Yongliang too had stopped using his Mad Dragon Divine Art—Little Eleven had been flung away, after all, so there was no need to waste any more stamina.

"There's a huge monster here with a head like a leg, Jingjing is so scared!" Han Jingyi said, trembling all over, her voice filled with horror.

"You..." Kang Jingming was beside himself with rage. He gave a cold laugh. "I meant to let Little Eleven finish you off herself, but I see there's no need to spare you now! Go to hell—dying under my ultimate move is mercy enough for you!"

With that, Kang Jingming stepped forward, pressed his palms together, and thrust them out, unleashing his strongest technique—the Elixir Flame Bomb!

"Boom—" A fireball hurtled toward Han Jingyi's head! This was the ultimate move Ancestor Xuanchen had taught Kang Jingming. He had been holding it in reserve all along to use against the Five-Shas Dragon, never expecting to spend it on Han Jingyi instead!

It was a technique that drained an exorbitant amount of stamina and true qi, but at this moment Kang Jingming could not care less.

Yet just then, freed from the suppression of Zhong Yongliang's Mad Dragon Divine Art, the Five-Shas Dragon—after flinging Little Eleven away—ran back toward her again. Reaching her side, it extended a foreclaw and fished Little Eleven right out of the ground!

"Boom—" At that very instant, Kang Jingming's Elixir Flame Bomb struck. He had calculated it precisely: the fireball would pass just above Little Eleven's legs and smash into Han Jingyi's head. But the Five-Shas Dragon had pulled Little Eleven out at exactly the wrong moment, so it so happened that the Elixir Flame Bomb slammed into Little Eleven's abdomen instead, blasting a gaping hole clean through it!

Little Eleven let out a shrill scream of "Awooo!" and at that very moment the Five-Shas Dragon hoisted her aloft and began whirling its foreclaw through the air. As a result, only a layer of flesh and skin still joined Little Eleven's upper and lower halves—her bones had been shattered by the blast—so after barely two swings, Little Eleven's upper body flew off!

Her whole body had split apart at the abdomen into two halves! Had she been treated promptly, had she taken a Great Restoration Pill, her life might still have been hanging by a thread. But now, Little Eleven's upper body had flown off and plunged straight down off the cliff of the Five-Shas Mountains. Even unharmed, such a fall would have been enough to finish her—let alone now. She was dead beyond any doubt! (One update today, Sunday. Once Cloud-Tier Island opens, I'll go back to three updates; before the book is completed, never fewer than two a day.) R.S.
