Chapter 87 — You Haven't Paid Yet (Please Vote)

The Blossom Guardian · Page 1 of 3

Wei Zhao had never known who his mother was, not since he was small, but that a man should want to fuck his mother was not something Wei Zhao would let slide. He had always been sore about being an orphan, and now this bastard had dragged his mother into it too.

Smack.

Wei Zhao brought his palm down across the fleshy-faced fat man's cheek and sent him flying outright. Such was Wei Zhao's strength that the fat man, for all his bulk, spun on the ground like a top for a few turns and then pitched headlong into the dirt. A row of five clear finger marks stood out on his left cheek, and that cheek, already all bulging flesh, bulged all the more now.

"Whose mother are you going to fuck?" Wei Zhao looked coldly at the fat man howling on the ground.

"Who the hell are you? You dare hit my man?" Zou Ruoming had not got a clear look at Wei Zhao, who now had his back to him. True, it was a little frightening that Wei Zhao had knocked the fat man off his feet with one slap, but he did not think much of it — the blow had been struck while the fat man was off guard, after all. He assumed on instinct that the newcomer was another of Zhong Yongliang's men, and reached out to shove Wei Zhao.

"Is your face better?" Wei Zhao turned his head and looked at Zou Ruoming.

"Lin— Wei Zhao?" Now Zou Ruoming finally recognized just who this lord was, and finally understood why he had been able to send the fat man flying with a single slap.

"I asked you a question. Is your face better?" Wei Zhao looked at Zou Ruoming.

"Be— better..." Zou Ruoming turned timid at once. This Wei Zhao was a fucking lunatic — he'd beaten even Brother Black Panther till the man cried for his father and mother. How could he afford to cross him? And what Wei Zhao was asking about was plainly whether or not the face he'd smashed with that basketball the other day had healed.

"Oh," Wei Zhao nodded, then shot out a hand and slapped Zou Ruoming across the face, making his nose spurt blood and half his face swell up. But this time Wei Zhao did not send him flying as before: "Well, now it's broken again. Get lost."

Zou Ruoming clutched his face, choking on his own frustration. What kind of nonsense was this? He'd only been trying to pick up a girl, and he had to run into this jinx — and he hadn't even provoked him, had he? It was just the fat man saying "fuck your mother," and that hadn't been aimed at Wei Zhao at all. Who in this day and age volunteers to take an insult meant for somebody else?

But circumstances were against him, and Zou Ruoming had no choice but to beat a retreat. He hadn't the courage to fight Wei Zhao. Of the thirty-six stratagems, running away was the best; he turned and shot Kang Xiaofeng a hateful glare, thinking that this brat was the one who had stirred up all the trouble.

Yet when Zou Ruoming saw the smug smile on Kang Xiaofeng's face, he froze, and then he recalled what Kang Xiaofeng had said before... and his heart gave a lurch. Could it be that the third of the four campus bullies Kang Xiaofeng had spoken of was Wei Zhao? Of course — there had already been talk at school that Wei Zhao had replaced Zhong Yongliang as the new third of the four campus bullies.

Fuck, Zou Ruoming was miserable. Your grandmother, couldn't you have said so plainly from the start? If you'd told me you were Wei Zhao's underling, why the hell would I have argued with you? I'd have turned around and gotten out of there fast. And yet, the way Zou Ruoming figured it now, if Kang Xiaofeng had suddenly announced he was Wei Zhao's man a moment ago, he probably wouldn't have believed it anyway.

"Move." Zou Ruoming had someone haul the fat man up off the ground, and they slunk away from Mother Tang's barbecue stall.
