"Arrow-brand bro, Yaoyao's jealous now — you'd better watch out!" Shen Yushu sat on the sofa peeling oranges. Seeing Wei Zhao come in, she greeted him before he could speak.

"Xiaoshu!" Gu Mengyao glared at Shen Yushu. "What nonsense are you spouting? Who's jealous?"

"Oh, Yaoyao's angry. Arrow-brand bro, you're on your own — I'm saying nothing more." Shen Yushu shut her mouth with a look that said she had said nothing at all.

"Xiaoshu, you—" Gu Mengyao had meant to give Wei Zhao a thorough dressing-down, but Shen Yushu's meddling had blunted her appetite for scolding. She fixed Shen Yushu with a resentful stare. "Xiaoshu, ever since you confessed to Wei Zhao, have you fallen for him? Otherwise why do you keep covering for him at every turn?"

"Oh, Yaoyao, so do you want me to like him?" Shen Yushu popped a segment of orange into her mouth and said airily, "Either way, you and I are going to marry the same man!"

Gu Mengyao wanted to stand up and kick Shen Yushu clear into outer space; the conversation was drifting further and further. Then she glanced at Wei Zhao, who looked equally unconcerned, and her interest in the whole thing faded. Let him do whatever he liked — what business was it of hers?

Whether he chased girls or fooled around, so long as he did not interfere with her affairs and kept Zhong Yongliang off her back, he would have done his job. Gu Mengyao waved him off irritably. "Wei Zhao, just be careful of your image at school. I don't care what goes on between you and Tang Zhi, as long as you keep Zhong Yongliang from bothering me..."

"Oh, don't worry about that. The kid has his hands full and won't be bothering you." Wei Zhao nodded.

"Fine, that's all then. But from now on, when you go out, you must tell me in advance — otherwise if I need you, I won't be able to find you!" "Then go about your business. Xiaoshu and I are going to watch a concert. There's food in the kitchen — we've already eaten. If you're hungry, help yourself!" Gu Mengyao waved a hand at Wei Zhao, signaling that he could leave.

"Huh? Yaoyao, didn't you say you were furious and wanted to go bungee jumping this weekend? And that you were going to push Arrow-brand bro down into the valley? Why aren't you saying it now?" Shen Yushu suddenly cut in.

"Xiaoshu!" What Gu Mengyao had said earlier was merely words spoken in anger; of course she could not possibly push Wei Zhao into the valley — wouldn't that be murder? She shot Shen Yushu a glare. "What is going on in that head of yours? I was only talking off the top of my head. You take angry words seriously too?"

"I still want to go bungee jumping. How about we don't push Arrow-brand bro into the valley, and just go bungee jumping instead?" Shen Yushu looked at Gu Mengyao.

"Heh..." Wei Zhao shook his head. Shen Yushu truly was a first-rate treasure; with her around, the wars in this household were destined never to break out. Still, Wei Zhao had not expected that Gu Mengyao had been angry enough to want to push him down into the valley.

Shen Yushu had left Gu Mengyao somewhat embarrassed. She cleared her throat. "Wei Zhao, don't listen to Xiaoshu's nonsense. I had no intention of pushing you."

"Oh, a push or two wouldn't hurt..." Wei Zhao thought to himself, the young lady pushing me down — hmm, that's not bad either...
