"But..." Gu Mengyao frowned. "He's weeding. How can we go and mess with him?"

"It'll be fine. It's hot out—a good way to cool off. Look, the water on our clothes is almost dry already, isn't it?" Shen Yushu said, shaking out her tracksuit. It was lucky they were both wearing tracksuits; at home they usually didn't, and if they'd been wearing only thin shirts, they'd have been showing far too much.

"It still doesn't seem right," Gu Mengyao said. She wasn't as wild as Shen Yushu.

"What nonsense are you talking about?!" The mention of that embarrassing incident made Gu Mengyao flush with annoyance. She glared at Shen Yushu like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. "Don't you ever bring that up again!"

"Oh, Sister Yaoyao, don't be shy. I hear lots of boys like that sort of thing—what's it called, being flirty or something? Maybe Arrow-Brand Guy likes it too!" Shen Yushu said. "We sisters need something special if we're going to team up and beat Tang Zhi!"

"Say one more word of that nonsense and I'll stop talking to you!" Gu Mengyao reached out to pinch Shen Yushu's cheek. "Xiao Shu, you've gotten lewd lately. You weren't like this before."

"Oh, maybe I'm about to hit puberty..." Shen Yushu said carelessly.

"Puberty? Xiao Shu, I hate to burst your bubble, but you're eighteen now." Gu Mengyao looked at her and shook her head. "Your chest has already stopped growing—that means your puberty is over."

"Who says? Impossible! Just yesterday I thought they'd gotten a little bigger!" Shen Yushu retorted, puffing out her chest in defiance—so much that she nearly burst her tracksuit.

Gu Mengyao felt a pang of envy. Why did Xiao Shu's chest have to be so big? If only she could share a little of it, wouldn't that make her perfect? So, green with jealousy, she said, "That's just because you've been eating more lately. You've gotten fatter, that's all."

"Oh, all right. My chest got fatter." Shen Yushu nodded.

"..." Gu Mengyao ground her teeth in frustration. A chest getting "fatter" and a chest getting bigger—was there any difference? "We're getting off topic. Anyway, I don't want to spray Wei Zhao."

"Oh, Sister Yaoyao, if you won't do it, then I'll do it myself. But you have to keep it a secret for me," Shen Yushu said.

"Fine..." Gu Mengyao nodded. Sticking to her principle of non-participation, she would just watch Shen Yushu make trouble.

Wei Zhao was off to the side weeding. The mower was loud, but he could hear Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu's conversation perfectly clearly, and he found the two girls rather adorable. If he could be around them every day from now on, he wouldn't have to worry about life being dull.

A stream of water instantly swung toward the lawn where Wei Zhao was.
