Chapter 825 — The Little Troublemaker

The Blossom Guardian · Page 2 of 2

Half of the entertainment center's first floor was an electronic arcade, and the other half a billiards hall. Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu had never been here before; they had only ever seen such places on television.

"Wei Zhao, go buy some game tokens?" Gu Mengyao knew that this place used game tokens, so she said to Wei Zhao.

Wei Zhao nodded and headed toward the counter.

Meanwhile, Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu wandered casually around the arcade, intending first to see whether there were any fun games.

"Hey there, beauties, want to play together?" Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu had barely stepped into the arcade when they were spotted by a few delinquent youths near the entrance. Seeing the two of them on their own, someone came over to chat them up—a young man with red-dyed hair.

Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu were the kind of presence that drew attention wherever they went. Although today they wore only ordinary tracksuits, it gave them all the more of a student air, which made those delinquents think they had no important backing.

Gu Mengyao gave the red-haired youth who had spoken a cold glance and ignored him. Shen Yushu, however, was rather curious. "Hey, how come your hair is red? Was it like that when you were little too?"

"Hey, you want to know? I wouldn't mind taking you somewhere with no one around and letting you study it up close." The red-haired youth, seeing that a big-breasted girl like Shen Yushu was actually paying attention to him, grew excited at once and spoke up.

"Not really." Shen Yushu shook her head. "I just think it looks hideous. Like a turkey."

Hearing the less than flattering remark, the red-haired youth's mood soured immediately. "Little girl, what's that supposed to mean? If you don't want to play, fine, but there's no call for insults."

Gu Mengyao was rather annoyed. Shen Yushu really was a magnet for trouble—no sooner had she arrived than she stirred something up. If I'd known, I'd never have come! If Wei Zhao weren't here, the two of us would be in real trouble! Truth be told, Shen Yushu was not stupid either. Were Wei Zhao not here, she would never have gone looking for trouble.

The red-haired youth's words promptly drew over several delinquent youths, who surrounded Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu in their midst.

"What do you want?" Gu Mengyao frowned. She had not expected these people to be so utterly brazen. Was there no security here?

Gu Mengyao had never been to a place like this before, so naturally she did not know that there was basically no security here at all—only a handful of local thugs who kept an eye on the floor, and unless something really big blew up, they would not come out.

"She insulted our Brother Red Hair—what do you think we want?" A bald delinquent with a cigarette dangling from his lips pointed at Shen Yushu and egged the others on.

"All right, then let's say she was in the wrong. I apologize on her behalf. That should settle it, shouldn't it?" Gu Mengyao did not want any trouble.

"Settle it? You think you can just say it's settled? Tell you what—let this girl keep our Brother Red Hair company for a while, and we'll call it even!" the bald one said.

"Don't push your luck." How could Gu Mengyao possibly agree to such a demand? Let Xiaoshu keep them company?

"Push our luck? First time here, are you? You don't know the rules—then don't come back! But this time, you'll still have to do things by the rules!" Red Hair said coolly. "Play a race with me, and I won't do anything to her—at most cop a feel. Otherwise, if word gets around that someone crossed Red Hair and just walked away scot-free, I'd have a hard time holding my ground in this joint from now on!"
