Chapter 851 — Hitting on a Good Idea

The Blossom Guardian · Page 2 of 2

But what sort of arrogant man was Zhu Xiaozhang? He was the type who usually swaggered around like a crab. Hearing someone curse at him, he immediately flew into a rage. His eyes bulging, he pointed at the hearse driver and launched into a tirade. "Who's looking for death? You old bastard, you tired of living? Do you know who I am? What's your hurry? Off to die, are you?"

The hearse driver had only spoken out in a moment of anger, letting his mouth run away with him. If Zhu Xiaozhang had just moved out of the way, the matter would have been over and done with. But now, seeing how overbearing Zhu Xiaozhang was—blocking the road and still spouting self-righteous nonsense—he flew into a fury. "I'm rushing off to collect a corpse! What of it? If you don't get out of the way right now, I'll run you over and send you a wreath on the way to the crematorium!"

"Huh?" Zhu Xiaozhang had been about to keep cursing, but when he heard the driver say he'd send him a wreath, a light suddenly went on in his head! A wreath... flowers... Yes! When it came to romance, what could beat giving flowers? He'd seen some soapy TV dramas before, where the male lead always used a flower offensive to woo the female lead! He'd have a whole sea of flowers made up, and then the male lead would stand in the middle of it holding a beat-up old guitar, pouring out his love confession...

Guan Xin might not be a gold digger, but she surely wouldn't be able to resist such a romantic sea of flowers! Every girl dreams of such a \*\*\* romantic scene of courtship, so Guan Xin must feel the same. Zhu Xiaozhang suddenly saw the light, and he was so delighted he nearly danced for joy. The way he looked at the hearse driver softened considerably! This man had done him an enormous favor! So Zhu Xiaozhang smiled at the driver and said, "Thank you!"

The hearse driver was struck dumb. What kind of person was this? He offers the man a wreath, and the man thanks him? Was something wrong with him? A lunatic, maybe? The moment that possibility crossed his mind, and he took in Zhu Xiaozhang's beaming, gratified smile, the driver shuddered! It suddenly occurred to him—this was a hospital, after all. Could the man in front of him be a mental patient?

At that thought, the driver panicked. A lunatic could kill a man and not even be held legally responsible! He mustn't provoke this one. He hurriedly backed the car up, planning to take the hospital's back entrance instead, so as to avoid tangling with this madman and bringing some undeserved disaster down on himself.

Zhu Xiaozhang, however, was in no mood to care what the driver was thinking. Having hit on a plan, he quickly turned to Kang Jingming. "Young Master Ming, I've got a good idea!"

"What idea? Out with it!" Kang Jingming asked, unable to contain his impatience.

"Here's the thing—we can use the sea-of-flowers tactic!" Wang Shubin said. "Young Master Ming, we buy a huge pile of fresh flowers and set them up in the hospital courtyard, and then you confess your feelings to Guan Xin in public. How romantic would that be! When Guan Xin is moved, she'll probably give you a chance!"

"Oh? You think that'll work?" Hearing Wang Shubin's plan, Kang Jingming felt it was at least somewhat feasible, and his heart stirred despite himself.

"Of course it will! Young Master Ming, think about it—girls all love romance, especially a pure girl like Guan Xin. She's never been in a relationship, never been hurt by love, so she's bound to have all sorts of fantasies about what love should be like!" Wang Shubin explained. "And in those TV dramas, what moves the female lead most is a sea-of-flowers confession! Those classic plots on TV must be the most practical—otherwise, what are they even acting out?"
