The best hotel in Songshan City is the Starlight Splendor Grand Hotel, and that's still worlds apart from the grand restaurant in Yanjing that Brother Iron Hand took us to last time!" Feng Xiaoxiao nodded vigorously. "A man of Brother Iron Hand's caliber, when he goes to a restaurant, naturally he goes to the very best!"
"Haha, I wouldn't call myself such a high roller. As long as Jingyi enjoys the food, any place is a fine place!" Wu Chengtian was instantly delighted that Feng Xiaoxiao had played along so readily the moment she got in the car. "But let's go to the Starlight Splendor, then. It may not compare to Yanjing, but for a backwater like this, it's not bad! I entertain clients there all the time!"
Wu Chengtian had already opened a company in Songshan City. If he still did not know the local hotels, that would obviously ring a little false. To keep Sun Jingyan from growing suspicious, he simply followed Feng Xiaoxiao's lead and headed straight for the Starlight Splendor — and in his heart he was endlessly grateful to her. Hearing her words, Wu Chengtian nearly dropped to his knees and kowtowed to her. You're my own dear mother, you understand me so well! This level of playing along with my act — it's simply the best in the world! I was just about to steer the conversation toward the company I've opened!
"Haha, a trading company. Here's my card!" As he spoke, Wu Chengtian took out his card case and drew several business cards from it, handing one each to Feng Xiaoxiao, Wei Zhao, and Sun Jingyan.
Sun Jingyan was driving, so after taking the card she casually tossed it aside. Wei Zhao glanced at his and stuffed it into his pocket without a second thought. Only Feng Xiaoxiao, once she had the card in hand, widened her eyes in astonishment. "Wow! Is this the legendary gold-plated business card? So impressive! "It's nothing special, just a business card!" Wu Chengtian was secretly thrilled. "A company that big — it wouldn't do not to have a few things to put up a proper front!"
"That makes sense!" Feng Xiaoxiao nodded. "It seems your company must be quite large, Brother Chengtian. It must be very profitable, right?"
