"Hubby Wei, so you really are here!" Feng Xiaoxiao had no intention of acknowledging Zhao Fafa whatsoever. Spotting Wei Zhao, she came running over in delight and dropped into the seat beside him. Her eyes fell on the spread of food and she gasped, "So much good stuff!"
"Mm - eat up. Let's eat together." Wei Zhao picked up an enormous crab and set it on Feng Xiaoxiao's plate.
"Great, great!" Feng Xiaoxiao did not stop to ask questions. Something about the mood in the room struck her as odd, but with Wei Zhao there she worried about nothing else. He had told her to eat, so she prepared to dig in and feast to her heart's content.
"Wei Zhao! Didn't you say your girlfriend was coming? What is this? Are you playing me?" Staring at the couple whose eyes held nothing but food, Zhao Fafa could contain himself no longer. He slammed the table and bellowed, "Where is Tang Zhi?!"
"I never said Tang Zhi was coming. Isn't this my girlfriend?" Wei Zhao said, pointing at Feng Xiaoxiao with an air of perfect innocence.
"Her? Isn't your girlfriend Tang Zhi?" Zhao Fafa frowned.
"Sister Tang Zhi is the main wife; I'm the little wife. Is there a problem?" Feng Xiaoxiao finished her explanation, then shot Zhao Fafa a curious glance, having no idea who he was.
"Oh, the fellow who's treating us to dinner," Wei Zhao said. "Don't pay him any mind. He's got money with nowhere to spend it, so he's buying us a meal."
"Oh, so there really are fools like that in the world! Absolutely bone-dumb!" Feng Xiaoxiao nodded, then went back to gnawing her crab.
"Eat? Eat my foot! I'm the man who's here to take your life! You f***ing playing me?" Only now did Zhao Fafa finally see it - Wei Zhao had been toying with him the whole time! The kid was not stupid at all; he had grossly underestimated him.
"I'm not playing you. I've been telling you the truth all along - you simply didn't believe me," Wei Zhao said. "All right, sit down for a bit. My girlfriend and I are about to eat."
"Flatten him!" Zhao Fafa was truly enraged. He jabbed a finger at Wei Zhao and issued the order to the men standing by the door.
"You talk too much!" Wei Zhao flicked a crab shell at him, catching Zhao Fafa square in the mouth. The edges of the shell were not sharp, but flung with Wei Zhao's strength it sank in and wedged itself fast all around Zhao Fafa's lips, sealing his mouth shut.
"Aaargh!" Zhao Fafa screamed, instinctively clapping a hand over his mouth - but the pressure only drove the shell deeper into the flesh of his face. The agony sent him wailing like a banshee, yet he could scarcely make a sound, for he dared not open his mouth; even the slightest movement brought unbearable pain.
