"Yes, Master Lin. What are your instructions?" Zou Ruoming was startled. Could some manager at Tiandi Resort have been foolish enough to offend Wei Zhao? Zou Ruoming felt like cursing out loud — these people were making trouble for him! He couldn't even keep Wei Zhao appeased, and now someone was stirring up trouble on top of that?
"Oh, nothing serious. Does your place have ladies available?" Wei Zhao asked.
"Yes, yes! Does Master Lin need them?" Upon hearing that no one had offended Wei Zhao, Zou Ruoming's heart immediately relaxed. Thank goodness it was nothing serious!
"Good. Call your manager here tonight. Tell him that whoever requests a lady must be told there are none. Don't let any in from outside either!" Wei Zhao said to Zou Ruoming. "I trust you understand what I'm asking — and that you'll carry it out to the letter?"
"Rest assured, Master Lin — I'll see to it right away!" Though Zou Ruoming had no idea what Wei Zhao meant, he didn't need to know. Whatever Wei Zhao told him to do, he would simply do it. As long as Wei Zhao was satisfied, all would be well!
After hanging up, Zou Ruoming immediately dialed the resort manager, relaying Wei Zhao's instructions in an urgent tone. At the end, he threw in a threat: "Listen to me — handle this properly and I'll reward you. But if you mess this up, I won't let you off so easy as just packing your bags and getting out. If anything happens to me, I'll drag you down with me!"
Hearing Zou Ruoming's words, the resort manager nearly dropped dead from fright. He knew full well the Zou family's background — they were the sort of underworld figures you did not cross! With threats like that laid out so plainly, this task absolutely had to be done flawlessly!
So the resort manager had his staff gather every single lady under one roof, locking them all in the conference room — he was afraid they might take private bookings! Then he instructed all the security guards to close the main gates and stop admitting guests — all because he was terrified that some lady might slip in unnoticed...
The excuse did sound rather absurd, yet the resort manager carried it out to the letter with meticulous precision — leaving everyone thoroughly baffled...
Zhong Yongliang and Gao Xiaofu returned to their room and immediately called the front desk, asking them to send up two ladies. But they received this reply: "We are a legitimate, properly licensed resort. Such improper services do not exist here. We apologize for the inconvenience, sir!"
"Damn!" Zhong Yongliang nearly blew a fuse. Who were they trying to fool? Back when he had chosen this resort for their gathering, it was because he had played here before — and back then he had called up several ladies without any trouble! So Zhong Yongliang assumed whoever was on the line must be a new hire. "Get me your lobby manager," he demanded. "I want him to call me directly!"
"What do we do, Brother Liang? What if this place really doesn't offer that kind of service? What are we going to do?" Gao Xiaofu grew anxious the moment he heard the reply.
"No worries — I know their lobby manager. Back in the day, Brother Black Panther and I used to come here all the time..." As Zhong Yongliang said this, a wistful look crossed his face as he thought of Brother Black Panther. "Sigh... I wonder how Black Panther is doing these days..."
