Chapter 1812 — Still Not Gone

"In that case, since you yourself say that place is not our Snow Valley's territory, what concern is it of ours if an ordinary person wishes to kill herself there?" the Grand Elder said coldly. "When she has frozen to death, come and report to me then!"
"Yes... Then this Zhang will go about his duties first..." Elder Zhang gave a helpless, bitter smile and turned to leave.
After Elder Zhang had gone, Xueli frowned and said, "Grand Elder, though that girl Bingtang rejected our Snow Valley's proposal, if her younger sister really does freeze to death here, would that not be rather improper?"
"She is no fool. If she came here to save someone, how could she throw away her own life as well?" the Grand Elder said mildly. "For an ordinary person to last a day and a night is already remarkable. But just watch—if she truly does not wish to die, she will surely leave tomorrow! And if she truly does wish to die and is still here tomorrow, then this old one will send them on their way!"
"Yes!" Xueli nodded.
An ordinary person, frozen for a day and two nights in the ice and snow—would they not be frozen into a popsicle? Yet though Tang Zhi was somewhat in pain, she seemed otherwise none the worse for wear!
"How amazing!" Shen Yushu had just loosened Tang Zhi's compression biscuits and mineral water for her, and once back in the car she clicked her tongue in wonder: "Sister Yunyun really didn't die—Prophet Shu's prophecy came true!"
"Amazing? I think you're pretty amazing yourself—all these days and you haven't been scalded to death..." Gu Mengyao was beyond being surprised by now. Ever since Wei Zhao came to the villa, there had simply been too many bizarre things: first Feng Xiaoxiao's yin-cold constitution, then Little Shu, this oddity who could conduct heat, and now Tang Zhi, who was resistant to cold...
"Oh, right!" Shen Yushu nodded.
When Elder Zhang received the patrol disciples' report that Tang Zhi could still drink water and eat, he was astonished and secretly marvelled—yet that Tang Zhi had not died was, after all, a relief.
But recalling what the Grand Elder had said the day before, Elder Zhang still did not go to disturb her.
Snow Valley's rules were strict, and Elder Zhang did not wish to trouble the Grand Elder over the same matter again. Since the Grand Elder had said to report back only when Tang Zhi was dead, how would Elder Zhang dare approach her before then?
Unless some other great matter in the valley required reporting to the Grand Elder—then he might mention this in passing.
"Elder Zhang, Tang Zhi has still not left. She is still kneeling before the gate!" a patrol disciple said to Elder Zhang, the elder on duty, during the routine report.
