Chapter 2020 — Still Waiting "It's fine if you charge—one for each of us!" Zhang Duopan waved a hand; how was he supposed to split a single cup?

"I was afraid you'd come to pick us up and worry when you couldn't find us," Han Jingyi said.

"Then couldn't I have called you?" Wei Zhao said with a wry smile. "All right, all right, get in."

"Wei Zhao, how could you forget Han Jingyi at dinner tonight? Look how pitiful she is—she surely hasn't eaten yet, has she?" Gu Mengyao felt no ill will toward Han Jingyi at all. After a few days of contact, she had found the girl guileless and a little silly, easy to get along with.

"It's all right, Sister Yaoyao, I'll just have instant noodles when I get home," Han Jingyi said.

"Brother Arrow, why don't you cook something for the two of them when you get home? They're so pitiful, going hungry all this while." Shen Yushu pitied Han Jingyi too—standing out in the autumn wind all evening, truly a sorry sight.

"It's fine, Xiaoshu, we eat instant noodles all the time; we're used to it," Han Jingyi said hurriedly. "It's so late, don't trouble yourself."

"It's no trouble. There's food ready at home; I'll stir-fry a dish for you, it's nothing." Wei Zhao felt quite embarrassed—his own oversight today had left Han Jingyi and her brother standing in the parking lot all evening with nothing to eat, and he felt somewhat guilty about it.

"Then thank you, Brother Wei Zhao!" Han Jingyi said happily.

The car returned to the villa. Wei Zhao got out on one side, and Xu Shilan got out on the other. Feng Sanmang had originally planned to drive Cheng Yiyi back to the hotel, but Cheng Yiyi seemed a little reluctant to go back.

"Senior Sister, could you put in a word for me with Wei Zhao? Can I stay here tonight too?" Cheng Yiyi said pitifully. "Last night, after what happened, when I went back to the hotel and closed my eyes, all I saw were those robbers. I was so frightened I barely slept all night—I didn't drop off until dawn. It was terrifying! I don't quite dare stay by myself..."

"It's all right, Sister Yiyi. If you're scared, just stay here!" Gu Mengyao agreed generously. Cheng Yiyi was one of her favorite stars, and she was Xu Shilan's junior sister—how could she refuse?

But no sooner had Gu Mengyao spoken than she realized the villa no longer belonged to her; it belonged to Wei Zhao. So she turned to him a little sheepishly: "Wei Zhao, is that all right?"

Wei Zhao understood what the young lady was thinking, but he only smiled: "This villa is partly yours now, same as in Songshan City. You can decide."

"Mm!" Gu Mengyao was touched by his words. "Thank you."

"Ha... it's nothing. You all chat for now; I'll stir-fry a dish for Han Jingyi and Han Xiaochao and take it over," Wei Zhao said.

Neither Han Jingyi nor Han Xiaochao seemed to be star-chasers. Han Xiaochao was shy and not much for talking, while Han Jingyi, once she got absorbed in studying something, was like one possessed—she would not let go of her tablet, scribbling and sketching without pause.
