Chapter 2175 — Taking the Fight to Them

The Blossom Guardian · Page 1 of 2

"No need for schemes. We go straight to this Li Biaohan, I break his ribs for you, and then we make him pay up." Wei Zhao said, "If you won't go, I'll go myself!"

"I... fine, let's go!" Zhao Shengji saw that Wei Zhao was standing up for him, and if he still hung back now he would truly be a coward. At that thought he gritted his teeth and sprang out of bed. He found, sure enough, that the bone was much better—apart from a faint, lingering ache, there seemed to be nothing else wrong...

"Ah, then I'll go too!" Bai Weituo sighed. At this point, if he didn't go, wouldn't that make him a coward as well?

Chai Xiaoling, for her part, was calm. "Wei Zhao, are you sure about this? If you're not, we should let the school handle it."

"Heh. You think I'd do them harm?" Wei Zhao countered.

"That... no, of course not." Chai Xiaoling thought it over. Wei Zhao had always stood by the brothers in their dorm. Harming them was out of the question. And every time Wei Zhao did something, he did it with a plan—like Bai Weituo's drinking contest before, and later how he'd helped Bai Weituo at the Lion-Tiger Park and gotten Zhang Duopan and Fan Ganhe bitten by lions. Chai Xiaoling had no idea how Wei Zhao had managed it, but all of it proved that Wei Zhao was no hothead.

"In that case, let's go." Wei Zhao said, and walked out of the ward.

It was midday, and the nurses and doctors had all gone to lunch, so luckily no one was about—otherwise they'd surely have questioned Zhao Shengji's discharge. The only nurse on duty didn't even know Zhao Shengji.

Since the decision was made, Bai Weituo said nothing more and took Wei Zhao straight to the boxing club's headquarters. But it wasn't a time when the club was active; apart from two underlings practicing their punches, there was no one else there.

"Who are you looking for? Here to sign up?" These two underlings were the lowest of the low, freshmen who had just joined the boxing club this year, so they handled registering new members and recruiting.

"Where's Li Biaohan?" Wei Zhao had no time for small talk.

"President Li isn't here. Is there something you need?" One of the underlings stopped his practice. Hearing the unfriendly tone in Wei Zhao's voice, he frowned and came over.

"Call him. Tell him someone's come looking for trouble!" Wei Zhao had no patience for chitchat with an underling.

"So you're here to crash the place!" The underling finally understood Wei Zhao's intent.

"Crash the place? Li Biaohan isn't important enough for that. This place isn't worth my time. I don't have time to dawdle with you—make the call, now!" Wei Zhao waved his hand impatiently.

The underling eyed the three of them—Wei Zhao, Zhao Shengji, and Bai Weituo—automatically dismissing Chai Xiaoling since she was a girl. He weighed things up: he and the other boy were new to the club and not especially skilled, and two against three gave them no advantage. He hesitated, a cold glint flashing through his eyes, then said, "Then wait here!"

He didn't have Li Biaohan's number—he wasn't important enough to have it. He was just a newcomer in the club. But he did have the number of the club's vice president.

"Hello? Brother Gao? This is Xiao Liuzi from the boxing club. Someone's here to crash the place... right, three of them!" The underling ran to a corner and called the club's vice president, Gao Lutong. Li Biaohan rarely came to the club; the day-to-day affairs were all run by Vice President Gao Lutong.

Though the underling was some distance from Wei Zhao, Wei Zhao still caught what he said. Hearing him call some Vice President Gao, a trace of mockery crossed Wei Zhao's lips, but he didn't call him out.

Wei Zhao had already guessed the general situation: a small fry like this would be lucky to have the vice president's number, and probably couldn't reach the president at all. No matter—he'd just have this Vice President Gao summon Li Biaohan.
