Chapter 2181 — Rounding Up

"Th-this is..." Li Biaohan wanted to say it wasn't, but he was afraid that once he said so, Wei Zhao would get even angrier and knock the price down another notch, and then he would be the one taking a heavy loss. So he had no choice but to nod.
"Oh, and what I'm collecting the money for happens to be buying Zhao Shengji a car. Let's count this Q7 toward the sum," Wei Zhao said.
"Fine... whatever you say goes!" Li Biaohan did some quick mental math. He had paid one million one hundred thousand for this Q7, but the model was already outdated; if it was valued at one million one hundred thousand, that was actually a decent deal—with the money he saved, he could buy himself a new car.
"Good. This car looks pretty beat up, an old model. I'll count it at a hundred thousand for you, which leaves one million nine hundred thousand. I'll round that up for you and call it an even two million," Wei Zhao said.
"What?" Li Biaohan nearly burst into tears. Even if this Audi Q7 was an old model, it would still fetch six or seven hundred thousand on the used-car market, wouldn't it? And besides, fine, call it a hundred thousand if you say so—but the remaining one million nine hundred thousand, you're going to round that up too? Just lump it into an even two million? Isn't that the same as swindling me out of a car for free?
"What, you have a problem with that?" Wei Zhao asked.
"N-no... none at all..." Li Biaohan smiled bitterly, filled with regret. If he had known that this 01 test subject would pick that moment to fail him, why would he have shown off like that? If he had just acted the humble grandson the moment he walked in, he probably wouldn't have lost so much.
"All right, pay up," Wei Zhao said.
"Okay, I'll transfer it..." Li Biaohan didn't dare try any tricks. Following the bank account number Wei Zhao gave him, he transferred two million, then obediently handed over the car keys and said, "Big Brother Wei Zhao, seeing how readily I've cooperated, please don't break my ribs, all right?"
"Oh, in light of how readily you've cooperated, I won't lay a hand on you," Wei Zhao said.
Li Biaohan was instantly overjoyed—but Wei Zhao's next words left his face covered in gloom once more: "You two fight each other. Break each other's ribs."
"That..." Li Biaohan stared blankly at Wei Zhao. "Fight each other?"
Gao Lutong looked just as miserable. Fight each other? Who could bring themselves to do it? If their ribs got broken without them noticing, that would be one thing, but making the two of them beat each other up—wasn't that just breaking down a person's willpower?
"Not going to fight each other? That's fine too—then hit yourselves. If I have to step in and break them, it won't just be your ribs!" Wei Zhao said.
"We'll fight, we'll fight, we're fighting right now!" Li Biaohan nodded hurriedly.
And so a very bizarre scene unfolded in the boxing club: Li Biaohan and Gao Lutong, the club's two heads—senior and junior—were fighting each other. Li Biaohan came off somewhat better; after all, he was a skilled fighter of the Yellow Rank, and one punch broke Gao Lutong's ribs. But Gao Lutong had far less accuracy. His own ribs had already been broken first, and his right wrist was broken too, so he had to use his left hand to hit Li Biaohan. He swung again and again, hurting Li Biaohan badly, yet somehow failing to do any real damage to him...
"Enough, stop hitting. I'll do it myself!" Li Biaohan was somewhat speechless. He raised his fist, gritted his teeth, and brought it down on his own sternum with a crisp crack—the sternum broke. He looked pitifully at Wei Zhao and said, "Is this good enough?"
"That'll do." Wei Zhao nodded. He could tell that this Li Biaohan was unconvinced in his heart, but had been forced by circumstance to do it anyway.
