Chapter 2527 — Say Nothing to Anyone

The Blossom Guardian · Page 2 of 2

When he returned to the room, however, Wei Zhao found that Wang Xinyan had already fallen asleep. Lying on the bed, a sweet smile on her delicate little face, she seemed utterly at ease and secure. Wei Zhao had not expected Wang Xinyan to fall into dreamland so defenselessly on his bed. It seemed she truly believed he would not do anything improper to her.

Wei Zhao did not waste any time either. Wang Xinyan had been so magnanimous—what did he have to be squeamish about? He got into bed, gathered Wang Xinyan into his arms, and set the second layer of the Xuanyuan Dragon-Taming Art circulating.

Wang Xinyan seemed to feel Wei Zhao's embrace; the corners of her mouth moved slightly, but she went on sleeping sweetly, and Wei Zhao let out a small breath of relief...

The night passed without a word. Wang Xinyan slept very well that night, from a little past six in the evening straight through until dawn—until past six the next morning before she opened her eyes. A full twelve hours of sleep! When Wang Xinyan woke, she found herself lying in Wei Zhao's arms. Though Wei Zhao had been very proper and had not touched any of her sensitive places, this embrace, so like that of lovers, still drew a faint sigh from Wang Xinyan's heart...

She had always wanted to keep her distance from Wei Zhao, yet yesterday she had been so moved that she ended up sleeping beside him! Last night her head had been spinning and she had not thought much about it, but now that she had woken up, Wang Xinyan could not help considering a great many things. If things went on developing like this with Wei Zhao, then... Wang Xinyan did not dare imagine further...

"You're awake?" Wei Zhao sensed Wang Xinyan stirring, returned from the jade-pendant space to reality, and asked.

"Mm..." Wang Xinyan nodded, wanting to struggle free of Wei Zhao's embrace. But the moment she moved, the little white rabbits on her chest accidentally brushed against the arm Wei Zhao had wrapped around her, and Wang Xinyan let out a little cry: "Ah..."

"Uh... I didn't mean to..." Wei Zhao froze for a moment, then said with a bitter smile.

"I'm not blaming you..." Wang Xinyan was even more embarrassed, but feeling that Wei Zhao's arm still showed no intention of letting go and was still pressed against her little white rabbits, she grew both ashamed and indignant: "Aren't you going to let go?"

"Uh... right, I forgot..." Wei Zhao released his arm with reluctance.

Wang Xinyan shot Wei Zhao an exasperated glare and snorted, "Give him an inch and he takes a mile!"

"I really didn't mean to. Besides, you were the one who moved..." Wei Zhao said, somewhat at a loss for words.

"Say no more!" Wang Xinyan's face grew even redder. She turned her head away, not daring to look at Wei Zhao again.

"All right, I won't say anything. Xinyan, thank you..." Wei Zhao said with sincere gratitude.

"It's nothing. If you hadn't taken care of me, I probably still wouldn't be well..." Recalling how Wei Zhao had busied himself brewing medicine for her yesterday, Wang Xinyan's heart warmed, and her earlier vexation with Wei Zhao eased a little. Still, after a moment's hesitation, she said, "But... about yesterday, don't tell anyone, all right?"

"Yesterday? What about yesterday?" Wei Zhao was slightly taken aback, not quite understanding what Wang Xinyan meant.

"It's... it's about the two of us sleeping together..." Wang Xinyan said, stammering.

"The two of us sleeping together?" Wei Zhao's mouth fell open. Wang Xinyan would have done better not to mention it—by mentioning it, she changed the whole nature of the thing. He had clearly been holding Wang Xinyan in his arms to cultivate; how had it turned into sleeping together? (To be continued)
