In truth, the duel between Wei Zhao and Xiao Yi had lasted only ten minutes or so, and it had not drawn much attention at all. The White Leader had been worrying over nothing.
All the onlookers had seen was flying sand and tumbling stones, and then Wei Zhao exchanging a few words with Xiao Yi and the White Leader at the end. None of them knew what had happened before that.
Xiao Yi and Xiao Shiyi were both cultivators, and they met up again in no time at the exit of East Sea City's expressway. Seeing that Xiao Shiyi had made it too, Xiao Yi let out a breath of relief. "Little junior sister, the White Leader didn't come after you, did he?"
"A cripple like that? How could he possibly catch up to me? I left right after I took your call." Xiao Shiyi curled her lip in scorn for the White Leader.
"Heh, well, of course. But that Han Jingyi—she's not in any trouble, is she?" What Xiao Yi cared about was whether Han Jingyi could die. If she really did die, and the White Leader called off that grand plan, then everything would be ruined.
"I slashed up her face, wrecked her hands and shoulders, smashed her tits in, and blew her womb apart!" Xiao Shiyi said as lightly as if she were discussing the weather. "I'd say once the White Leader gets there, she'll breathe her last."
The corners of Xiao Yi's mouth twitched twice at the sound of that. His little junior sister truly was vicious beyond measure. Not that he felt any sympathy for Han Jingyi—in his eyes, whether she lived or died was of no concern at all. The only thing that mattered was the future plan for Cloud-Tier Island.
He wondered whether the White Leader cared about this disciple of his, Han Jingyi. From what he could see now, the White Leader clearly placed enormous importance on Wei Zhao. Where Han Jingyi stood was still uncertain. At that thought, Xiao Yi sighed in resignation. "This matter has gone beyond what you and I can handle. We must report it to our master and let him make the decision."
"Fine..." Xiao Shiyi did not take it seriously at all. Just an ordinary young woman, pretty, sure, but so what if she was dead? Surely she couldn't be the White Leader's bedwarmer.
Xiao Yi, however, knew all too well how serious this was. He straightaway dialed the number of their master, Xuantian Ancestral Master.
"Xiao Yi? How did it go? It went smoothly enough, I hope?" Seeing the call was from Xiao Yi, Xuantian Ancestral Master answered it directly.
"Master, there's a problem. The White Leader stepped in," Xiao Yi said heavily, a note of helplessness in his tone.
"What? The White Leader stepped in? What happened? Tell me in detail!" Xuantian Ancestral Master was startled and pressed him at once.
"It went like this..." Xiao Yi did not dare conceal anything, and recounted the whole affair in meticulous detail to Xuanchen Ancestral Master.
"Hmm..." After hearing Xiao Yi out, Xuanchen Ancestral Master sank into thought. "By your account, this is no fault of yours or Xiao Shiyi's. You did nothing wrong. The trouble is that the White Leader intervened... This is somewhat troublesome. I never expected this Wei Zhao to be his disciple as well!"
"Indeed, but that's secondary now. The main thing is that little junior sister has left Han Jingyi a wreck. She'll likely be dead very soon, and even the Great Return Pill may not be able to save her..." Xiao Yi said with some worry.
"Ah, very well. Let me call Xuantian myself and explain all this to him. If it truly cannot be helped, we'll admit fault first. You two come back at once, and don't waste any time!" Xuanchen Ancestral Master hesitated a moment, then ordered.
So he could contact the White Leader directly! Yet Xuanchen Ancestral Master had lied to Xuanzhen Ancestral Master, claiming that the White Leader was now devoted to his teaching and did not wish to be disturbed, that he could not be reached, and so on—all to keep Xuanzhen Ancestral Master from contacting the White Leader directly.
