"Because Wei Zha is the leader of my sworn brother!" Flame Cloud said.
"Your sworn brother? You mean... the Earth Tyrant?" Rocket Cannon immediately realized who Flame Cloud's sworn brother was, but was nevertheless startled. "Wei Zha is the Earth Tyrant's leader? How did that happen?"
"The Earth Tyrant took part in the Xuandan Sect's trial this time as well. Unfortunately, before he could enter the Five Fiends Wilderness, he was attacked by Zhang Naipao and reduced to a vegetable..." As he spoke, Flame Cloud recounted to Rocket Cannon and Yang Dingtian what the Earth Tyrant had gone through during the Xuandan Sect's trial.
Flame Mountain and the Yellow Earth Heights sect were both located in the west, and the two sects had always maintained good relations. Flame Cloud and the Earth Tyrant were sworn brothers as well, and the reason Flame Cloud had obtained so much information about the trial was precisely because of the Earth Tyrant.
Although the Earth Tyrant had not taken part in the trial, he had already made inquiries at the inn afterward and learned everything that had happened inside. He had not said much about Wei Zha's strength, but what he had revealed was already enough to prove just how formidable Wei Zha was.
In Flame Cloud's view, the Earth Tyrant would never deceive him. Besides, the Earth Tyrant was an extremely proud man, much like Yang Shuizhen. If Wei Zha were not truly powerful, how could he have acknowledged Wei Zha as his leader?
And so, Flame Mountain's grand plan for revenge had now fallen upon Wei Zha.
"Young Sect Master, if Wei Zha is truly as formidable as you say, then Flame Mountain should indeed cultivate a good relationship with him. I know the temperament of the Yellow Earth Heights sect's Young Sect Master, the Earth Tyrant. If Wei Zha lacked ability, he would never have submitted to him!" Yang Dingtian said.
"That is true... But even if we have the Earth Tyrant's connection, can we really go to Wei Zha for help out of nowhere? Would he help us?" Rocket Cannon shook his head. "According to what you have said, Flame Cloud, Wei Zha is an extraordinary expert. It was already incredibly difficult for the Earth Tyrant to acknowledge him as his leader, and in the end Wei Zha only reluctantly agreed because of their Ranran. If we suddenly appear before him and ask for help, will he even pay us any attention?"
"This... alas!" Flame Cloud felt the same way. Wei Zha seemed extremely difficult to approach, and if they went to him rashly, he might simply refuse to acknowledge them at all. His spirits sank at once.
"Young Sect Master, Shuizhen was your loyal subordinate. You cannot let him die for nothing!" Seeing Flame Cloud lose heart, Yang Dingtian immediately grew anxious. He could not swallow his anger over Yang Shuizhen's death.
"Dingtian, rest assured. Even without what happened to Shuizhen, Wei Zha is so powerful that even the Yellow Earth Heights sect's Earth Tyrant acknowledged him as his leader. Flame Mountain naturally will not allow itself to fall behind!" Rocket Cannon said. "But we must consider this carefully. We want to win Wei Zha over, but that is not something we can accomplish simply by deciding to do so. There has to be a proper method."
Although Flame Mountain and the Yellow Earth Heights sect had an excellent relationship, and Flame Cloud and the Earth Tyrant were close sworn brothers, the closer the two sects were, the stronger their instinct to compete with each other became. It was much like how people often compared themselves with those around them, while few bothered comparing themselves with strangers who lived far away.
"Yes, Grand Elder. As for what happened to Yang Shuizhen, I will certainly go to the Tomorrow Upon Tomorrow sect and demand an explanation!" Flame Cloud nodded.
