"Ah! Don't worry, isn't this Sister-in-law Xiaoshu? She'll be treated as family here!" Burning Cloud was momentarily taken aback to learn that Shen Yushu was the inheritor. He had not expected Xiaoshu to really be the one—so from now on, wouldn't she and Wei Zhao be one family?
"Hehehehe, I like that name, Xiaoshu does! Ten points for you!" Shen Yushu nodded happily.
Wei Zhao could not help but smile, while Yu Yi, standing to one side, did not know whether to laugh or cry.
Before long, an old man came striding briskly toward them, and his voice arrived before he did. "Has young hero Lin come? This old man, Rocket Launcher, has failed to welcome you from afar—please forgive me!"
Behind him followed another old man, who also spoke respectfully. "This old man is Yang Dingtian. I welcome young hero Lin's honored arrival!"
Yang Dingtian was plainly more humble than Rocket Launcher. He clearly knew that if his grandson was to live, Wei Zhao would have to act, and so he had placed himself practically on the same footing as Burning Cloud.
"So it is Sect Master Huo and Elder Yang who have come!" Wei Zhao did not put on airs either, and rose to his feet at once. After all, they gave him face, and he gave them face in return. This was Burning Cloud's sect, and he could not behave as arrogantly here as he had in some other sects.
"I am Yu Yi of the Hidden Yu family. By order of the family head, Yu Tianxing, I have escorted the inheritor here! This is a letter from our family head—please examine it, Sect Master Huo…" Yu Yi bowed respectfully and presented a letter.
"Haha, so it's Mr. Yu Yi! Please rise, please rise! Anyone who comes with young hero Lin is a distinguished guest of Fireflame Mountain—no need for ceremony!" Rocket Launcher laughed heartily and strode over to take the letter.
Yu Yi was near to tears. What a difference it made, coming with Wei Zhao! He could well imagine how difficult it would have been to enter this sect had he come alone.
And even having entered, he might not have been able to see Rocket Launcher so easily; and even if he had, the man might not have been so warm.
Of course, what Yu Yi did not know was that Burning Cloud knew Shen Yushu. Had he known she was the inheritor, his warmth would likely have been the same.
