Seeing Wei Zhao come out, Gu Mengyao nudged Shen Yushu with her finger.
"Oh, Arrow Bro, Sister Yaoyao made a love-filled breakfast bento for you, go eat it!" Shen Yushu caught the hint and said to Wei Zhao.
"Xiao Shu, what nonsense are you talking about? What love-filled breakfast?" Gu Mengyao was a little angry. She had plainly just called in a KFC breakfast herself, so how had it turned into a love-filled breakfast?
"I don't know, I don't know anything. You nudged me with your finger, so I assumed you were hinting for me to say that," Shen Yushu said with an air of innocence.
"*Cough cough!*" Gu Mengyao had no choice but to look up at Wei Zhao. "I saw you hadn't gotten up this morning, so Xiao Shu and I ordered KFC breakfast delivery. There's still some left, go ahead and eat."
In truth, Gu Mengyao had wanted to cook herself, but after recalling last time's fiasco, she had given up on the idea this time around. Otherwise, the popcorn porridge and mushy eggs she produced would be completely inedible.
"Thanks." Wei Zhao nodded at Gu Mengyao, knowing full well she was tough on the outside, soft on the inside. The leftover delivery food on the dining table was obviously still sealed, clearly ordered for him alone, not at all like she claimed, just "some leftovers."
Wei Zhao went to eat, leaving only Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu in the living room.
"Sister Yaoyao, you ordered it for Arrow Bro yourself, so why won't you tell him?" Shen Yushu felt that what Gu Mengyao was doing was wrong; all effort, no reward.
"It was just a small thing, it all came in the same order anyway," Gu Mengyao said, not seeing anything wrong with it.
"Oh... Sister Yaoyao, this won't do. Once Arrow Bro leaves, we won't have anything fun to do anymore." Shen Yushu was a little disappointed; Gu Mengyao's attitude left her somewhat baffled.
Gu Mengyao shrugged without a word and went back to watching TV.
"TV shows are getting more and more boring these days. A lot of cartoons are getting more and more adult-oriented, I can barely understand them anymore." Shen Yushu flipped through several channels without finding anything she liked. "Are Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf not on today?"
"Beats me." Gu Mengyao found it just as dull. She wondered how she had ever gotten through weekends before Wei Zhao showed up.
"Sister Yaoyao, should we go shopping or stay home today? We haven't played at home in ages. How about we play some games?" Shen Yushu turned off the TV and suggested.
"Play games? What kind of games? Got any good ideas?" Gu Mengyao asked.
"Uh..." Shen Yushu couldn't think of anything fun for the moment. Just then she spotted Wei Zhao finishing breakfast and walking over.
Wei Zhao ate at breakneck speed, especially since breakfast wasn't exactly a huge spread.
"Arrow Bro, it's so boring. Got any fun suggestions?" Shen Yushu looked at Wei Zhao.
"What to play? Labor Day is just around the corner, so how about we play at being laborers?" Wei Zhao glanced at the villa's windows and said, "The windows are filthy. If we've got the time, let's give the whole villa a good cleaning."
"Oh, Sister Yaoyao, then let's play labor! That actually sounds like fun?" Shen Yushu felt that doing anything alongside Wei Zhao was bound to be a blast.
"Alright." Gu Mengyao nodded in agreement. Previously, Uncle Qing had always hired professional cleaners to do the housekeeping; she herself had never done it with her own hands. But Gu Mengyao had heard that a proper, virtuous woman should be capable of housework, so doing some real labor wouldn't be a bad idea after all.
Gu Mengyao and Shen Yushu both headed upstairs to change into casual sportswear, while Wei Zhao went to the storage room behind the villa and came out with two water guns used for watering plants and washing cars. They weren't the high-pressure professional kind, but for cleaning up around the house they would be more than sufficient.
