So I suggest that once we get to Gu Pengzhan's house, we simply finish Wei Zhao off along the way!" Yu Bide hated Wei Zhao to the bone. His real purpose in coming this time had been to avenge his son, but for the sake of the family's interests he had not quite dared to strike directly.
And now Gu Pengzhan had been driven to the end of his rope, yet still the power behind Wei Zhao had not shown itself. That in itself was proof enough that there was no power behind Wei Zhao at all.
"Getting rid of Wei Zhao would of course be fine, but he and Guan Xuewen seem to be on rather good terms privately. To move against Wei Zhao would be to slap Guan Xuewen in the face... that is not quite proper, is it? After all, Guan's pharmaceutical business is going from strength to strength; he has put out any number of miraculous medicines, and in future every great family will be courting him!" Yu Haitian analyzed with some misgivings. "It makes no difference how we trample the Gu family, but where Wei Zhao is concerned, we had best be careful!"
"Hmph, so what if he is on good terms with Guan Xuewen? Guan Xuewen has never stood up to shield him openly, and we can simply ignore that connection!" Yu Bide sneered. "When the time comes, we kill him and that is that. Even if Guan Xuewen speaks up afterward, it will be too late! Can he really make trouble for our Yu family?"
"Hmm... I think, in this matter, we had best consult Second Uncle first!" Yu Haitian said cautiously.
"Fine! I will call Second Brother right now and ask his opinion!" Yu Bide nodded. Yu Haitian's advice he might disregard, but Second Brother's he could not. Second Brother was a man of reason, and he weighed matters thoroughly.
Yu Bide got Yu Shuixing on the phone, told him what had happened here, and laid out his plan: early tomorrow morning he would go make trouble for the Gu family and finish Wei Zhao off in passing.
"You must not!" Yu Shuixing shook his head and stopped him. "Third Brother, it is not fitting for us to move against Wei Zhao at present!"
"Why not?" Yu Bide was taken aback. "If there were a power behind Wei Zhao, why has it not stepped forward by now?"
"Bide, you still do not think things through carefully enough!" Yu Shuixing said. "On the surface it seems Wei Zhao's ties with the Gu family are extraordinary, but that may be nothing more than a private friendship between Wei Zhao and the Gu family. It does not mean the power behind him will help the Gu family too! If Wei Zhao was merely out here on some trial or training, then he should be heading back soon, and the Gu family may well have been abandoned."
"Oh?" Yu Bide was startled. "Put that way, it does make sense. I was rash... Ah, the very sight of that Wei Zhao sets my teeth on edge!"
"Heh heh, no hurry. If there truly is no strength behind Wei Zhao, then sooner or later he will become a wronged ghost beneath your hand. But if there is some power behind him, then for the time being we must let him swagger. Wait until his background is investigated thoroughly, then decide!" Yu Shuixing said.
"Good. Then I will trample the Gu family to death first and be done with it!" Yu Bide said viciously. He had gathered all his resentment onto the Gu family. Since Wei Zhao could not be killed, the Gu family would be his punching bag — and that wretched dog that had brought about his son's death, he would see it dead too!

Today was the deadline the Xiao family, Zhao Qibing and the Yu family had set for him. If Wei Zhao had not left by the end of this deadline, then he feared there would be no leaving at all!
