Chapter 2321 — Terrifying Martial Arts

The Blossom Guardian · Page 1 of 2

The Third Boss and that early Earth-rank expert naturally would not make a move so easily. He was the Third Boss of the Red Conch, and he also had designs on grooming this early Earth-rank expert into the Fourth Boss. Both were boss-level figures, not ordinary thugs.

Zhang Yilong and Zhao Erhu came down the stairs, and without a word they charged straight at Wei Zhao, one from each side!

As thugs, they knew full well what was expected of them. They had not come down to posture and bicker with Wei Zhao—they had come to take him down and deliver him before the Third Boss.

"Seems the owner of this place is a coward—he dares to act, but not to own up to it!" Wei Zhao lashed out two seemingly casual slaps, landing them square on the faces of Zhang Yilong and Zhao Erhu. Pitiful though they were, these two peak late Mystic-rank experts—before they even knew how they had died, their heads were sent flying by Wei Zhao's blows.

Peak late Mystic-rank experts were, in the eyes of the present Wei Zhao, no more than ants—one move was all it took to snuff them out.

And Wei Zhao was truly furious. He had no patience left for bandying words with them; only the more vicious he was would the figures behind them finally show themselves.

In the surveillance room, the Third Boss's face had gone pale! He had never imagined that his two peak late Mystic-rank thugs would be swatted to death by Wei Zhao like so many flies.

"Old Four, what do you make of it?" Since he meant to groom him into the Fourth Boss, the Third Boss's form of address had naturally changed to "Old Four."

"We underestimated him..." Old Four's expression was grim as well. He had not expected two peak late Mystic-rank cultivators to be wiped out by Wei Zhao in the blink of an eye. Although he too could have killed them, he was an Earth-rank expert—which meant that Wei Zhao was, at the very least, an Earth-rank expert as well!

"Let's go down and have a look at him. We may well have to give the man back. Feuds are better dissolved than pursued; we bear him no grudge, so a step back opens up the sky and sea..." the Third Boss said with a bitter smile.

"Just let it go, like that?" The Fourth Boss was taken aback.

"This man has probably come down from the Hidden or the Ancient plane. We may not fear him, but there is no benefit whatsoever in the two of us fighting him to the death," the Third Boss said. "We are what we are. Who stands long by the river without getting his shoes wet? This time we simply misjudged him."

"Ah!" The Fourth Boss gave a bitter smile and rose somewhat helplessly to his feet, then walked out and swiftly instructed one of his men to take the woman they had just captured downstairs, before hurrying with the Third Boss into the elevator and descending.

"I am the owner of this hotel. My friend, I think you must be mistaken—our hotel could never have done such a thing as abduct your girlfriend. I fear some petty thugs colluded with a few individual security guards to perpetrate this. My apologies; I will certainly get to the bottom of it and give you an accounting, my friend!" The Third Boss's diplomatic words were delicately put, impossible to find fault with. The security guards were already dead, after all—the dead could not testify—so pinning the blame on them suited perfectly.

The Third Boss? Wei Zhao's gaze narrowed slightly. This man possessed peak late Earth-rank strength; he must be the Third Boss that Big Feng had spoken of. And the one beside him was the remaining early Earth-rank expert.

"I'm an orphan. No brothers." Wei Zhao frowned, pointed at Zhang Yilong and Zhao Erhu on the floor, and asked, "These two—what do they do?"

"Them? Never seen them before." The Third Boss stared blankly at the corpses of Zhang Yilong and Zhao Erhu. "Judging by their clothes, these two are not security guards of our hotel. Probably friends of those guards, I'd guess. Or in league with those petty thugs."
