Chapter 2365 — The Mysterious Old Man Again

The Blossom Guardian · Page 2 of 2

"Heh..." Wei Zhao chuckled. He had some understanding of the young miss's character by now—she really was that sort of person. Back when Zhong Yongliang had pursued her, everything Zhong Yongliang said had been said to Shen Yushu; as for Gu Mengyao, whatever he said, she simply never noticed. "There won't be any trouble, will there?"

"Just some rich kid—his family isn't even as wealthy as Uncle Chu, and he can't begin to compare with my Ace of Spades brother's worth. Unless Yao Yao lost her mind, she'd never overlook someone close by to chase someone far off—and if she did fancy anyone, it'd be my Ace of Spades brother!" Shen Yushu said matter-of-factly.

"Xiaoshu, if you want to go to the casino, then go—where does all this nonsense come from? Say one more word and I'm not going." Gu Mengyao gave her a furious kick.

"Okay... I'll stop talking." Shen Yushu hurriedly shut her mouth.

The three of them entered the safety passage, and were about to head downstairs along it when two security guards stopped them, saying politely, "Hello. Below is the supermarket's storage area—a restricted zone. Guests, please go no further."

"We're not going to the storage area—we're going to play." Shen Yushu said, flashing the gold bank card in her hand at the guard.

"Please wait a moment, all three of you." The guard glanced at how they were dressed—clearly two rich young ladies and their bodyguard—then picked up his walkie-talkie and said a couple of words into it: "Guests have arrived. Someone please come up and receive them!"

Before long, a man in a neatly pressed suit came up the stairs from below. Likewise, upon reaching the top he looked Gu Mengyao, Shen Yushu, and Wei Zhao up and down, and finally his gaze settled on the diamond gold bank card in Shen Yushu's hand. His eyes narrowed slightly, and then he smiled. "Esteemed guests, this way, please!"

With his trained eye, he could of course tell that the minimum balance on the card in Shen Yushu's hand was five million. For a young girl to carry such a card—their status went without saying: typical daughters of wealthy families, exactly the sort of clientele this place worked hardest to attract.

What surprised Shen Yushu, however, was that the second basement level really was the supermarket's warehouse, not the casino she had imagined. This was presumably a facade created to conceal the casino and to evade police investigation.

The man in the black suit led Wei Zhao and the two girls quickly through the warehouse and came to another iron door that looked rather battered. He pressed a remote button in his hand, and the iron door rose slowly. The scene inside was a world of its own!

Outside was a warehouse in utter disarray, but inside the iron door, it could only be described as dazzlingly opulent! Within the iron door was a hall of roughly a thousand square meters, its uniform golden carpet laid out with all manner of gaming tables and devices in orderly fashion—dice tables, roulette, twenty-five, blackjack, baccarat, and all kinds of slot machines.

Compared with the outside, the gloom of the warehouse was gone at a stroke—here all was brilliantly lit!
