Chapter 141 — Old Buffon's Origins
Years of Heartflutter Page 51 of 106
"Ah?" This time Sun's mother was thoroughly baffled. How had her old man changed so bizarrely? Even Sun Jie was frowning, looking at her father in confusion, not knowing what he meant.
Seeing everyone staring at him, Sun Lin cleared his throat twice and explained, "Look, we're none of us old relics. These young people are dating—who hasn't slept together before?"
"Uh—" Yang Ce and Sun Jie both stared at Sun Lin dumbfounded. The old fellow was a bit too blunt. Little did they know that since Sun Lin had set his mind on Yang Ce, he could not let the matter fall through—he was in a hurry to hold a grandchild. Now that the son-in-law candidate was settled, the next great task was to hurry up and produce a grandchild.
"What kind of expressions are those?" Sun Lin put on a stern face and said seriously, "Xiaojie, your dad isn't some unenlightened old fogey. You're a grown woman now—what's there to be embarrassed about? What's done is done. Dare you say the two of you haven't slept together?"
That question left Sun Jie speechless. She really didn't dare say they had. Even once counted as having done it. It was just that her relationship with Yan right now—"All right, Old Sun, you're drunk, aren't you?" Sun's mother could not stand to listen any longer. Seeing the two children so embarrassed, she hurried to the rescue. "Who talks about such things out in the open? Don't mind him, you two—go upstairs and have fun. I'll give him a scolding."
"Let's go." Sharing a room with Sun Jie—Yang Jiyan was greatly tempted. That idea sounded quite good indeed.
Sun Jie shot Yang Puqi a glare. How could she not see his crooked thoughts? But with her mother present, she could hardly say much, so she merely said, "Mom, we'll go upstairs first."
"Go on, go on," Sun's mother said with a wave of her hand.
Yang Ce slipped his arm around Sun Jie's slender waist, and side by side they went upstairs. When they reached the room at the far end, Sun Jie pushed open the door and said, "No rummaging through my things."
"Secrets, is it?" Yang Ce was not one to stand on ceremony. He walked in casually and plopped himself down on Sun Jie's bed. What he had not expected was that Sun Jie's bed was a double—just right for two.
"Get up. Is your trousers even clean, sitting around like that?" Sun Jie glared at him. "I sleep naked every night. Don't get dust all over it."
"Ha, perfect. I sleep naked too," Yang Ce said shamelessly. "Since you say my trousers are dirty, I'll just take them off."
Sun Jie glared at Yang Ce murderously, then said, "Don't you dare."
"What do you mean, don't I dare?" Yang Ce said, making as if to unfasten his trousers.
"My parents are right downstairs. Could you at least act decent?" Sun Jie said, half in exasperation. She had never once managed to intimidate Yang Ce.
"I'm perfectly decent. Didn't your dad say it himself? That you and I could, you know, do that," Yang Ce said.
"Fine, then. If you're not afraid, go ahead and take them off," Sun Jie said, smiling sweetly.
"What would I be afraid of?" Yang Ce looked at that fox-like smile of hers and suddenly felt a chill run through him.
"I'll count to three and cut off your little johnny," Sun Jie said craftily.
"Huh?" Yang Ce was dumbstruck. Ferocious—worthy of Sun Lin's daughter, to say such a thing out loud. But then he recalled that back when he had first met Sun Jie, she had said even bolder things, so it was hardly strange. But wait—why did that line sound so familiar? It seemed to be... "Sun Jie, were you peeking just now?" Something clicked, and Yang Ce looked up, fixing her with a half-smile.
"So what if I was?" Sun Jie's expression suddenly turned serious. "Yang Ce, you've got some nerve, all right—daring to beat up even the young master of the Ouyang family."
"All for your sake," Yang Ce said with a crooked grimace and a huff.
"I really don't know what to do with you," Sun Jie said helplessly, sitting down beside Yang Ce. A note of grievance crept into her voice. "Yang Ce, can't you stop being so rash? You stood up for me—I understand that. But have you thought about the consequences?"
"You're afraid the Ouyang family will come after you?" Yang Ce reached around and drew Sun Jie's shoulders against him, pulling her into his arms. "Don't worry. You've got me."
"Yang Ce." Sun Jie was torn between annoyance and laughter. She struggled once, could not break free, and gave up. But she said, "You're always so full of yourself. What would I be afraid of? Donghai is my family's turf. However powerful the Ouyang family is, a strong dragon cannot crush a local snake—you understand that, don't you? What worries me right now is you."
"Worried about me?" Yang Ce's hand crept steadily upward to the swell of Sun Jie's chest, as though it were the most natural thing in the world. "Really? You care about me? Don't tell me you've fallen for me."
"Sorry. Not yet." Sun Jie shook her head. "You were right before. I like women. So where you're concerned, I merely don't dislike you."
"That's all right. My life's greatest ambition is to find a pair of lesbians for wives," Yang Ce declared shamelessly. "One day you'll have to introduce me to your other half."
Sun Jie looked at him and truly had no idea what to say.
"Think about it—how great would that be? Two lesbians, and I wouldn't even have to worry about either of you cheating, because when I'm not home, the two of you can just take care of that little problem yourselves. And any children would be mine beyond a doubt." Yang Ce had begun to daydream.
"Go to hell," Sun Jie said, her face livid with anger. She swatted away the hand Yang Ce was running where it had no business being. "Don't even think about it."
"Don't you think doing it with a real man beats doing it with a woman?" Yang Ce ignored her and pressed on.
Sun Jie simply shut her mouth, unwilling to give Yang Ce any more room to run with the topic.
"Does that even need so much thinking?" Seeing her silent, Yang Ce deliberately kept teasing. "Which feels better—you should remember it vividly."
Sun Jie was so furious her nose nearly twisted. Yet she had nothing to say in rebuttal. She was sharp enough as a rule; it was just that Yang Ce's topic was far too intimate.
For all that Sun Jie could joke with him without so much as a blush, when it came to the real thing, she was helpless.
"Oh, I get it," Yang Ce suddenly cried, as though a great revelation had struck him. Then he said nothing more.
Though Sun Jie did not argue back, she had been listening to what Yang Ce said. When he suddenly announced that he "got it," she wondered just what he had gotten. But she waited and waited, and nothing followed. At last she could not help asking, "What is it you think you've got?"
"We've only done it once. You can't have felt it deeply—you must have forgotten what it's like," Yang Ce said.
"Mm," Sun Jie said, wanting only to drop the subject, and gave a perfunctory murmur. In truth, how could she have forgotten that soaring, utterly gratifying sensation?
The first time in a person's life—how could it be forgotten just like that? It was only that Sun Jie had not yet worked out how to handle her relationship with him.
"Just as I thought," Yang Ce said, slapping his thigh. "Then it's simple. We'll just experience it once more."
"Don't you dare." Sun Jie did not want her relationship with him to rest on nothing but the bed, even if that particular sensation did linger in her memory.
Seeing the coy, reproachful look in Sun Jie's eyes, Yang Ce was instantly consumed with desire, and his body responded as well. Ah, this heart gu—Yang Ce shamelessly blamed his reaction on the heart gu.
To be continued.
661. Still Caring
With a beauty in his arms, no normal man could resist the temptation—and Yang Ce, besides, really was somewhat affected by the heart gu.
