Years of Heartflutter Page 2 of 2

And Li Shu did not try to hold him back. The whole reason he had invited Jeffs to drink congee was to transfer the operating rights to his mines; now that Jeffs had refused, there was nothing to discuss. Whether Jeffs drank the congee or not was no concern of Li Shu's.

"Damn it!" Li Shu cursed under his breath. "What's with these people, all acting as if they've gone mad? Something so sought-after, and they're not interested? I don't believe it—if the two of them aren't interested, does that mean nobody will be?"

"What do you think he wanted with me?" Jeffs said deliberately.

"Hmm, let me think!" Mike nodded. "I've got it! He must have been trying to sell you the operating rights to those two mines of his, wasn't he? Am I right?"

"Yes, exactly!" Jeffs confirmed what Mike had said. "Do you know what he told me? He said he was doing me a favor, that I had stumbled onto a godsend, and that he wanted to transfer the operating rights to the two mines to me at the original price! And on top of that, he said I was the very first person he thought of!"

"Oh, hahahahaha...!" Mike burst out laughing the moment he heard this. "The first person... hahaha, I'm dying here—so what did you say?"
